Development of numerical and experimental methods for determining modulus of elasticity of soil massifs

A numerical-analytical method for determining the modulus of elasticity of soils has been developed based on the results of experimental study on natural vibration frequencies of a probe pile with an actuator driven into a soil massif. Theoretical dependence of natural frequencies on the elastic modulus of the soil massif has been derived and substantiated.

.The developed method makes it possible to monitor changes in the deformation properties of the cryolithic zones in the Arctic regions in real time and predict the evolution of deformation processes in permafrost.
