Development of a fatigue model for materials under irregular loading

A new evolutionary model that takes into account the history of fatigue loading, including the type of stress state, asymmetry and disproportionality was formulated. A method for identifying the model constants was developed based on the basic experiments, (including the critical ones), capable of detecting the sensitivity of the material to overload history. The calculation of fatigue micro-damages accumulation in the parts of aircraft and land-based vehicles during flight cycles revealed a fold change in their life time depending on the material properties and demonstrated the flexibility of the model.
