Scientific interests of the Sector focus on the development and application of artificial neural network techniques to address current continuum mechanics problems that include modeling and analysis of complex nonlinear processes in gases, liquids, plasmas, and solids. The primary objectives are to construct and verify neural network models designed to describe the dynamics of multiscale and unstable systems and to predict their evolution for cases in which the effectiveness of traditional mathematical modeling methods is limited. The developed approaches offer great possibilities for theoretical, experimental and applied studies in continuum mechanics and promote the creation of new tools for analysis, optimization and control of relevant physical processes.
