A substantial progress in understanding of magnetic fields in the nearby
spiral galaxies is achieved in last years however the origin, evolution
and configuration of magnetic fields in galaxy clusters, various morphological
types of galaxies and magnetic fields in the early galaxies remain a
topic of intensive scientific discussion which are expected to be presented
at the meeting suggested.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts in observation,
interpretation
and theoretical studies in Galactic and extragalactic magnetism.
Scientific content
Topics:
- Radio observations of magnetic fields in the Milky Way, galaxies and
galaxy clusters
- Faraday Rotation Synthesis
- Models of magnetic fields in galaxies and galaxy clusters
- Magnetic fields in young and evolving galaxies
- Turbulence in interstellar and intergalactic media
- Next generation of radio telescopes and future observational tests
The meeting starts at 9:00 of 17.May and will be finished at 11:00
of 20.May.
