The XV Winter School on Continuum - the Russian National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have announced the date for holding in Perm the XV Winter School on Continuum Mechanics. The School will start its work on February 3, 2007 and is expected to receive 200 participants.
Starting from 1975 Winter Schools of the ICMM are held every second year; since 1995 these meetings have been attended by scientists from the countries of FSU and from overseas countries.

Topics to be discussed:

• Actual problems of elasticity, plasticity and viscoelasticity;
• Mechanics of nano- and mesoscopic systems;
• Физика и механика мезо- и наноструктурных систем;
• Конвекция, гидродинамическая устойчивость и турбулентность;
• Гидродинамика многофазных сред;
• Гидродинамика неньютоновских жидкостей и жидкостей с особыми свойствами.

GROW 2006 - the International Russian-German scientific Workshop “ Turbulence in magnetized interstellar medium” will be held February 5-8, 2006.

The goal of the Workshop is to gather all kinds of specialists in this field of research - radioastronomers carrying out observations of galactic and extragalactic magnetic fields, specialists in treatment and interpretation of radio-observation data, theoretical physicists studying the processes of generation and evolution of cosmic magnetic fields and MHD-turbulence in the interstellar medium and experimentalists modeling the processes of magnetic field generation by turbulent flows of conducting fluids in laboratory conditions.

Pozdeyev’s readings - the scientific conference of young scientists on problems of continuum mechanics devoted to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. A. A.Posdeyev. The conference will be held on March 23-24, 2006.
